Mission

CREO – A Latin Word Meaning I Think; I Create; I Believe. CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory is committed to building strong, creative, commitment-minded, joyful, wholesome artists. We provide high-quality dance classes to enhance the overall development of the child. We provide a safe and child-centered environment to encourage our students to explore dance with qualified, nurturing instructors.

Why Choose CREO

Wholesome, family friendly atmosphere

CREO emphasizes community and kindness with focus on The Golden rule: do onto others as you would have done onto you. Our dancers are required to dress modestly to encourage focus on dance rather than body type. Our music choices are clean and age appropriate.

Unique Ballet Curriculum

The CREO Classical Ballet Curriculum ® rooted in Cicchetti and lends itself to all forms of classical ballet. Dancers in CCB spend two years in each level refining technique, alignment, and style. Some dancers will choose to follow the CCB track toward Pointe work.

Focus on performance not competition

Our dancers perform in the annual West-Metro community tradition, The Tales & Tails of Folks & Fairies, various faith-based dance productions, Elevate Youth Dance Festival, Cathedral Dance Festival and our spring Recital.

Faith-Based dance opportunities

CREO offers faith-based dance classes infusing Judeo/Christian themes with various dance styles. Our dancers have the opportunity to audition to be a part of our three faith-based youth companies, Footprints, Roots, and CREO DanceVERVE: Twin Cities that perform at area churches

Anatomy & Kinesiology

CREO instructors implement the of human movement and the human body into their classes. Even our youngest dancers learn to name various muscle groups. As they grow, dancers develop a greater body awareness and a deeper understanding about how the body moves.

Emphasis on improvisation and composition

Creative exploration builds problem-solving skills and celebrates individual expression. Dancers have opportunities to experiment with their own choreographic voice through dance composition workshops and frequent improvisation opportunities.

Competitive pricing

Discounts for families with multiple dancers. Option for unlimited class tuition. Beautiful recital costumes for great prices.

Excellent technique and training

Our program builds strong ballet, modern, and contemporary jazz/ hip-hop artists. We focus on the individual needs of each dancer. Whether a child desires to dance for fun, or train for a career in dance, our program encourages dancers of all aspirations.

Small class sizes

Our classes “cap” at 12 dancers for ages 3-5 and 15 dancers grades 1-12. Some advanced classes may be larger due to leveling.

State-of-the-art facilities

Our 9,000 square foot facility includes 5 beautiful dance spaces each equipped with state-of-the-art sprung floors, mirrors, barres, viewing windows into every studio, playroom, large lobby, and ample parking!

Conferences

Parent/teacher conferences are held each spring. Students, parents, and instructors can discuss the dancer’s progress.

Qualified instructors

Many of our instructors currently dance with dance companies and/or have degrees in dance.
