Kelsey Charlotte
Ballet Principal, Modern Technique, Contemporary, CREO Classical Ballet, Flight
Kelsey Charlotte is a choreographer and mover based in Minneapolis. She is a core member of STRONGmovement beginning her time with the company in 2016. She graduated with a BA in Dance and Geography from Gustavus Adolphus College.
Kelsey attended Accademia del’ Arte in Arezzo, Italia where she studied under Giorgio Rossi, Rita Petrone, Ashai Lombardo and Mark Allen (Tanz Theatre) and other artists in both Italy and Germany. She is now an undergraduate recruiter for the dance program.
Kelsey has spent nearly a decade teaching dance in multi-genre environments. She currently enjoys teaching at CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory where she is a principal to the student body and has been a faculty member for the past 6 years. Kelsey has received several accolades for her inventive choreography in both the commercial and academic spheres. Most of her inspiration has recently come from morning record listening with her husband Charlie; who aside from being a talented bassist and musician, is an avid vinyl collector.
Other notable work has included Stephen Koplowitz, D.I.G. (Dancers Investigation Group) Sacramento, CA, Christopher Watson Dance Company, and Bandaloop.
Kelsey loves telling stories through dance almost as much as she enjoys telling stories of the ol’ days to her students.
