Although rare, if alterations are needed after the costumes have been distributed, they will be the sole responsibility of the student’s parent or guardian.

WITHDRAWAL

No refunds will be made after the recital opt-out deadline in early November.Parent or guardians may pick up purchased costumes at the school at the time of general costume distribution and up to 15 days after the performance. Costumes not picked up after 15 days will be donated to charity or resold.

SHOES/ TIGHTS/ HAIR/ UNDERGARMENTS

A document will be released after spring break detailing the types of shoes, tights, hair style, and undergarments (as applicable) needed for every class.

A Note on Care for Tights: Parents are responsible for the purchase and maintenance of your dancer’s tights. Tights worn for recital should not be worn during class, but are exclusively for performances, as they may run or be dirtied.

MAKE-UP

We strongly encourage dancers to wear make-up onstage. The lights are bright and they tend to wash out a dancer’s face. During pictures, a little bit of blush and a little color on the lips makes a big difference. Dancers should prepare their hair and make-up at home and bring their own supplies for any touch-ups needed at a performance.

Note: We respect parents’ decisions not to put makeup on their child.  We want you to feel that your dancer looks age appropriate in their photo. However, it is important to inform you that picture day lighting is very strong and can wash your dancers out. A little bit of makeup on the brows, cheeks, and lips can ensure that dancers’ beautiful features stand out in their pictures!

Girls Make-Up: L’Oreal True Red Lipstick/Lip Gloss, pink blush, natural toned eye shadow, mascara and eyeliner. Dancers Level 3+ wear false eyelashes for large-venue performances.

Boys Make-Up: Foundation, brown eyeliner
