Fairytale Adventure

Fairytale Adventure Camp
Princesses, Castles, and Fairies oh my! Dancers will learn some of the dances and stories from CREO’s original ballet performance, The Tales & Tails of Folks & Fairies. Dancers will create a new fairy tale of their own, complete with props to enhance their performance and costumes to invite your dancer into the world of make-believe.
WHAT TO WEAR? Ballet slippers, a leotard, and tights
Frozen Frolic
Frozen Frolic Dance Camp
Winter is a good time to stay in and cuddle, but put me in summer and I’ll be a Happy Dancer. This class will teach your dancer the fundamentals of ballet technique through the joy of all our favorite Frozen songs. Dancers will create dances that bring to life their favorite Frozen friends. At the end of the week we’ll celebrate with some frozen treats!

Faith Builder
Faith Builder
Faith builder compliments a dancer’s continuned study of skill and artistry through spiritual mentorship. Dancers will use movement for interpretation of scripture, prayer, and worship. This year our theme will focus on the Beattitudes and Jesus’ care for the poor and the needy. The end of the week will culminate with a movement prayer for the needy and a service outing. Especially designed to support the mission of the 2022-2023 Footprints, Roots, and Verve Company Season.
WHAT TO WEAR? Ballet slippers, a leotard, and tights or black leggings
Movie Musical Magic
Movie Musical Magic Dance Camp
Lights, Camera, Action! Let’s go to the movies! Step into the Hollywood movies you love while we sing and dance to your favorite songs. Dancers will learn dance technique, character and how to reimagine and perform a dance fit for the silver screen!
WHAT TO WEAR? Jazz shoes, leotard or tank top, and leggings.
Super Heroes Unite!

Super heroes assemble! Through movement and daily craft activities, dancers identify their own “super powers” and learn how to help others using what makes each of us unique! This energetic, fast-paced dance class will inspire your dancer to save the day long after class is over. CREO teachers use age appropriate, wholesome music.
WHAT TO WEAR? Jazz shoes, leggings, and a tank top.
Big Time Broadway Spectacular
Big Time Broadway Spectacular
Does your little one have a great imagination and love to move? Allow them to explore those interests through the lens of musical theater! This workshop will teach fundamentals in dancing, singing, and acting; while getting their energy out, and maybe some of their drama too! The class will include classic numbers from family-friendly musicals and send your little dancer to the big stage under the bright lights of his or her imagination!
WHAT TO WEAR? Jazz shoes, leotard or tank top, and leggings.
CREO Dance Blitz!
The Dance Blitz!
The CREO Dance Blitz is our most comprehensive camp and is offered to both All Ages & Stages and Progressive/Accelerated level students. Each day begins with a warm-up class, followed by electives including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, acro, musical theater, improvisation, dance composition, contemporary/modern, and more!
For All Ages & Stages dancers this camp serves as a great introduction for dancers interested in pursuing the Progressive Program in the future or for those who just want to get a taste for the many styles of dance.
For Progressive/Accelerated dancers this camp is a “must” to aspire toward expertise and success in the year ahead!
Progressive program dancers must take one blitz, OR 15 hours of class over the summer to maintain their level.
Accelerated program dancers must take the blitz PLUS 10 hours of class, OR 25 hours of technique class over the summer to maintain their level.
Dancers accepted to Pointe or Pre-Pointe classes must take 3 days of ballet/week consistently throughout the summer. Please speak to the director to be evaluated for the class and discuss your vacation dates etc….
ALL AGES & STAGES BLITZ GRADE 2-5: August 2-6 from 10:00-1:30
LEVEL 1-3 BLITZ: August 9-13 from 10:00am-1:30pm
LEVEL 4-5P BLITZ: August 16-20 from 9:00-12:00
LEVEL 5A-7 BLITZ: August 16-20 from 12:30-3:30
ANATOMY IN MOTION: August 16-20 12:00-12:30 (Level 4-7 Add-On to Blitz!)
As a dancer, understanding how your body moves is essential. This Anatomy in Motion workshop will teach dancers about the relationships between nerves, muscle, and bone to accomplish movement. Each day dancers will explore the body’s capacity for movement from the perspective of a different major joint system. Gain tools to teach your body to disrupt unhelpful patterns, and build a deeper understanding of your whole self moving through space.
WHAT TO WEAR TO THE BLITZ? Dancers should wear a leotard or tank top and tights or leggings and bring ballet shoes and jazz shoes. Please pack a lunch and don’t forget your water-bottle!
TEAM Hip-Hop Skill Builder Audition
TEAM Hip-Hop Skill Builder & Audition
For Intermediate/Advanced hip-hop dancers, this intensive will bring your dancing to the next level of athleticism and performance. Including conditioning, acro, hip-hop choreography and improvisation, this class is required for dancers interested in performing with CREO’s TEAM Hip-Hop or the Progressive Program Hip-Hop Invitational class for the 2020-2021 season.
WHAT TO WEAR? A tank top or leotard, tan tights or leggings, and clean white tennis shoes or jazz shoes.
Arts & Dance Synthesis
Arts & Dance Synthesis
CREO becomes an artist’s co-op where art promotes self-expression. Students will how explore nature, architecture, textiles, and language inspire painting, drawing, creative writing, dance and drama to understand feelings and thoughts. Students will learn from theater, dance and art experts, and create their own art. On Tuesday we will take a field trip to a local art installation or museum to explore the process of other artists.
WHAT TO WEAR? Students should wear clothing for movement and bring clothing to paint in. Please bring a bag lunch and water bottle daily.

Theater Dance Lab
A camp for dancers, actors and singers who want to improve their movement acquisition, character development, and confidence. We will brush-up on breath support and articulation in both singing and speaking, and will discover tools for story telling through both movement and monologue, all while learning about the various dance styles used in musical theater productions.
WHAT TO WEAR? Leotard & tights, or tank top & leggings, ballet or jazz shoes.

*Students selected to create their own piece for Elevate Youth Dance Festival are required to at least one of these camp.
Learn to create dance! We develop not just excellent dancers, but creative, well-rounded artists. Students will learn the building blocks to generate successful, captivating choreography. They will delve into their own compositional project with guidance from an instructor, and learn to articulate feedback to encourage and challenge their peers.
WHAT TO WEAR? leotard or tank top, and leggings, ballet shoes, turners, or jazz shoes.
Technique Classes - Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, Acro

Whether your dancer is a beginner looking for a taste of each style or an advanced dancer desiring to keep up their technique over the summer, CREO offers a variety of technique classes over the summer at all levels to suit every goal. Some offerings combine multiple styles in one class.
Punchcard Option – Progressive/Accelerated Program
Punchcards are available for Level 1-7 dancers to design your own summer dance course schedule and meet the required class hours.
Punchcards may not be used for Dance Blitz classes.
Ballet
This class will include a classical ballet barre and combinations in the center and across the floor that challenge the dancers’ athleticism and expression! Advanced dancers will learn choreography from classical and contemporary ballet variations.
WHAT TO WEAR? A leotard and pink footed tights, and ballet shoes.
Contemporary
Today’s dancer must be more than just a technician. According to this demand in the industry, CREO has created a Contemporary dance syllabus which develops the dancer from the inside out. Our Contemporary warm-up includes a fusion of modern dance elements (Graham, Horton, & Limon,) such as spinal articulation contraction, inversions, extensions, suspension and release, and improvisation. Our Contemporary curriculum provides dancers with exceptional technique, expression, and tools for creativity.
WHAT TO WEAR? A leotard or fitted tank top and leggings, and turners.
Jazz
Considered a true American art form, Jazz teaches students to rhythm, isolation of body parts, and body awareness. CREO jazz classes cover a brief history of classic jazz movement and music. Dancers will also learn progressions of leaps and turns, and how to dance with the intense athleticism and rhythmic precision of contemporary jazz styles. CREO teachers use age appropriate, wholesome jazz music.
WHAT TO WEAR? A tank top or leotard, tan tights or leggings, and jazz shoes.
Musical Theater
Stay in prime condition and improve your overall attack and style. Not to mention developing your character performance ability! This class will include conditioning, warm up, leaps, turns and Musical Theater style combinations.
Now offering a special Musical Theater class for Grades K-1! If your child spends their time putting together their own performances, they may be ready to experience a musical theater workshop! This workshop will teach fundamentals in dancing, singing, and acting; getting their energy out and maybe some of their drama too! The class will send your little dancer to the big stage under the bright lights of his or her imagination!
WHAT TO WEAR? A leotard or tank top, and tights or leggings, jazz shoes or ballet shoes.
Hip-Hop
Hip-Hop is athletic, grounded to music featuring a strong beat, and emphasizes individuality and self-expression. CREO’s hip-hop classes impart to dancers the classic elements or hip-hop including as popping, locking, tutting, and breakdancing, while also incorporating contemporary Acro skills. CREO teachers use age appropriate, wholesome hip-hop music, both old-school and contemporary.
WHAT TO WEAR? Clean tennis shoes. A tank top and leggings.
Acro (Acrobatic Arts Syllabus)
CREO is proud to be certified to offer the Acrobatic Arts syllabus in our Acro classes. This class facilitates the need of the current dance climate for dancers to be athletic and fearless. Dancers learn core, arm, and leg strengthening exercises specific to their age and body awareness. Students will work skills such as back bends, cartwheels, walkovers, and extensions. Advanced students will move on to aerials, handsprings, tinsicas and work on incorporating these skills within choreography. This class is highly recommended for all progressive/accelerated dancers.
WHAT TO WEAR? A leotard and footless tights or compression shorts, but shorts must be worn over tights.
Tap – Included in Ballet/Jazz/Tap combo classes!
In tap class, our students are not only dancers, but musicians! Tap dance is a rhythm-based dance form that helps develop dancers’ coordination, sense of rhythm, and musicality. Dancers will begin with combinations of basic skills such as shuffle, flap, stomp, walking steps, and ball changes, and progress to more difficult steps including time step, pullbacks, wings, and many more. Tap dancers will practice skills at the barre and through across the floor and center work, as well as developing their improvisational skills.
WHAT TO WEAR? A tank top or leotard, tan tights or leggings, and tap shoes.
