December 13-20th: Parent Observation Week
Parent observation week is a wonderful opportunity for parents to step into the child’s shoes to experience his/her teacher’s instruction and choreographic process, and see their dancer learning in the studio. CREO’s first observation week is typically the last class before winter break.
February: ARTS WEEK!
It is a CREO tradition in early February to take a week to enjoy and explore all kinds of art-making in class. Dancers will attend their regular classes and participate in activities such as poem making, choreography. We will view and learn about how to understand visual art. Most importantly students will come to understand how different art forms can work together to create a finished piece. At the end of class dancers will paint a dancing interpretation of their creation on the wall in Studio 1.
March & April: Picture Days!
For many years CREO has partnered with LifeImage LLC to give families the opportunity to purchase professional quality photographs of their dancers in their recital costumes both as an individual and with their class. More information coming soon!
April 21st-22nd: Cathedral Dance Festival
Progressive program dancers levels 3 and higher are eligible to perform and participate in this annual Festival which takes place at Grace Church in Eden Prairie. Dancers have the opportunity to perform a draft of their recital dances and receive feedback, take master classes, and watch professional dance performance. More formal registration and participation information will be distributed later this winter. Please contact email@example.com with questions regarding participation.
Recital Finale/Dads & Daughters Workshop
Recital Finale: CREO dancers have the opportunity to dance in the Recital Finale which concludes nearly every recital performance.
Dads & Daughters: Dancers are also invited to register with their Dads to learn a special dance together. This dance always has a fun theme and will be performed at the recital.
Both dances will be taught over the course of these 4 rehearsals in May (two weekends of Friday-Saturday rehearsals.) Registation information will be available in the Spring of 2017. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
