Our mission at CREO is to develop not just excellent dancers, but creative, well-rounded artists. In our dance composition classes, students will learn about the basic elements of dance and how to generate their own movement phrases and build them into successful, captivating choreography. Dancers will learn to collaborate with others, articulate feedback to encourage and challenge their classmates, and improvise as a means to generate choreography.
This year the class will reserve one class period to travel to the Sculpture Garden in Minneapolis. There they will move among the art for inspiration in their own work.
*Student Choreographers selected for Elevate Youth Dance Festival are required to take this camp.
Today’s ballet dancer must be more than just a technician. According to this demand in the industry, CREO has created a ballet syllabus which develops the ballerina from the inside out. Our Vaganova (Russian Ballet) based barre is fused with modern dance elements (Graham, Horton & Limon) such as spinal articulation, contraction, extension, rise and fall. We also engage our dancers with a variety of both classical and contemporary music. Our ballet curriculum provides dancers with exceptional technique, expression, and tools for creativity.

Mommies get a chance to exercise and little dancers get a chance to interact with others, listen to music, play with props, learn songs, and learn dance moves.
